Dr. John Morgan, a native of Baton Rouge, obtained his medical doctorate at LSU Health Shreveport following his graduation from Louisiana State University as a Cum Laude graduate. Dr. Morgan completed his residency training at LSU Health Shreveport, serving as the Administrative Chief Resident during his final year of residency. After completing his residency training in 2018, he joined the faculty at LSU Health Shreveport as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Morgan provides a wide range of obstetrics and gynecologic services. He has a specific interest in high risk obstetrics, particularly the treatment of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and preterm labor. He is heavily involved in clinical research and was awarded with the Earl E. Dilworth Resident Research award during his residency. His project was presented as an Oral Presentation at the CAOG Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, AZ. Outside of work his hobbies include traveling, golf, and spending time with his family. Dr. Morgan and his wife Kelli are the proud parents of their daughter Sophie.
