Dr. Devarkonda was born and raised in Southern India. He graduated from Sri Siddhartha Medical College Tumkur. After Graduation, he completed his Internal Medicine residency from Michigan State University. Vishal believes strongly in the value and power of integrative, nutritional, preventative, and personalized care. He emphasizes strengthening the system-wide health care delivery mechanisms in order to improve the patient safety and provide cost-effective care. In his spare time, he and his wife, Shravya, love spending their time playing tennis, hiking, cooking, and travelling. He is very excited to be a part of Ochsner LSU health Shreveport and is proud to work with such a fantastic team of practitioners.
