Our Nurse Residency Program

The Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™ is designed to empower newly licensed nurses as they successfully transition into clinical practice by bridging the gap between the classroom and real-life nursing. The residency program prepares nurses with reflective practice skills delivered via in-person and virtual interactions.

Ochsner LSU Health’s Nurse Residency program supports nurses through every step with program mentors who help celebrate wins and navigate through any challenges in the transition to practice!

Who should apply?

• New graduate RNs and LPNs
• Less than 6 months of experience
