Cancer Treatments We Offer

No two patients with cancer are exactly alike, and neither are their treatments. As our patient, you’ll receive cancer care that is tailored to you and your particular needs. Our team of specialists reviews each cancer case at our weekly tumor board, where we discuss individual treatment plans that are unique for every patient.

Your treatment plan may include one or more of the following options:

  • Bone marrow transplants: Replacing the tissue that creates blood cells as part of some leukemia treatment plans. Our program is the only one in Louisiana outside New Orleans that offers bone marrow transplants.
  • Chemotherapy: Using medications to prevent cancer cells from growing.
  • Hormone therapy: Using hormones to slow cancer growth.
  • Immunotherapy: Using your own immune system to fight and destroy cancer cells.
  • Interventional radiology: Minimally invasive procedures that use real-time imaging to treat your cancer.
  • Photopheresis: A blood-filtering treatment available for some patients with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL).
  • Surgery: Removal of the tumor or the entire organ where the tumor is located.
  • Radiation therapy: Using energy to damage cancerous cells and destroy their ability to grow and spread.

Clinical Trials

Our team also offers access to treatment approaches not available to the general public through participation in clinical trials. These treatments may do more to reduce or eliminate cancer than current standard treatments.

By participating in clinical trials, you’ll not only help contribute to the discovery of new and better cancer treatments, but you’ll also be among the first to have access to the latest treatments. Email us or call us at 318-813-1406 for more information on our clinical trials.
