Do I need to see a sports medicine doctor or an orthopedic surgeon?

  • Sports medicine specialists are capable of caring for the majority of sports-related illnesses and injuries since more than 90% of all musculoskeletal injuries are non-surgical. We also work closely with our colleagues in orthopedic surgery, so we can easily transfer care if the need arises.

When can I start a return-to-play protocol?

Each person is different and will require a personalized treatment plan. Therefore, it is important to maintain an open line of communication between you and your doctor.
