Dr. Ashley Flowers is a native of Louisiana and received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. She went on to complete her anatomic and clinical pathology residency, her fellowship in cytopathology, and also advanced training in renal pathology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She has a passion for educating medical students, residents, and fellows. She is the director of the 3rd and 4th year medical student electives in pathology and director of the ACGME accredited cytopathology fellowship.Dr. Ashley Flowers is board certified by the American Board of Pathology and has been on staff at Ochsner LSU Health since 2017. She has a special clinical interest in cytopathology, renal pathology, head and neck pathology, electron microscopy, and immunofluorescent microscopy.Dr. Flowers enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, traveling, and cooking in her free time.
