Caitlin Busada, MD

Dr. Caitlin Busada is a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin and received her Medical Doctorate from LSU Health Shreveport in 2015. She completed her residency training at LSU Health Shreveport in 2019 and joined the faculty as an Associate Clinical Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Busada is a native of Lafayette, LA and has lived in Shreveport for the past 8 years. During her training, Dr. Busada was selected by her peers as a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society for the level of dedication and compassion that she showed for her patients. She was also awarded the Earl E. Dilworth Resident Research award for her research on short cervix and the incidence of preterm delivery. Dr. Busada prides herself as being an advocate for women’s health and is passionate about the patients she cares for. Her practice offers a wide range of services in both Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Busada’s areas of expertise include minimally invasive and vaginal gynecologic surgery, high-risk and general prenatal care, wellness and annual screenings, uterine fibroids, as well as menopause and perimenopausal management. She is specialized in procedures such as hysterectomy (laparoscopic, vaginal, and open), adnexal surgery, cervical excisional procedures, hysteroscopy, vaginal delivery, operative vaginal delivery, cesarean delivery, tubal ligation, IUD placement and removal, as well as endometrial biopsy.
