Chaitanya Ahuja, MBBS

Dr. Ahuja earned his medical degree (MBBS) from S. N. Medical College, India in 1999. He completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery (MS) in India. He did a Diagnostic Radiology residency at Wayne State University, Michigan from 2007-2012 and was awarded the DABR certification from American Board of Radiology in 2012. He then completed a Vascular and Interventional Radiology ACGME fellowship at the prestigious Dotter Interventional Institute, Oregon Health Science University in 2013and was awarded the Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from American Board of Radiology in 2015 and subsequently awarded the Diagnostic Radiology/Interventional Radiology (DR/IR) certification in 2017. Dr. Ahuja joined LSU Heath Shreveport in 2013 and founded the division of Interventional Oncology in the Department of Radiology. In 2018 he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor Radiology. He is the Residency Program Director for the newly accredited Diagnostic Radiology/Interventional Radiology (DR/IR) integrated residency at LSU Health Shreveport. He also serves as the clerkship director of Interventional Radiology for the 3rd and 4th year medical students and is the designated faculty advisor for the IR Interest group at LSU Health Shreveport. He is also the director of Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Multidisciplinary conference at LSU Health Shreveport. Dr. Ahuja has published multiple articles in journals and presented at various National and International conferences. He is currently a reviewer for American Journal of Radiology, Journal of Abdominal Imaging, Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology and Indian Journal of Radiological Imaging. He is a current Member of the American College of Radiology Committee on Practice Parameters – Interventional and Cardiovascular Radiology. Dr Ahuja is a current member of RSNA, ARRS, SIR, ACR, AUR, APDIR and LRS.
