Dr. Fox received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – New Orleans in 1989. He completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at Yale University School of Medicine and subsequently completed a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania, 1997.Dr. Fox came to Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport in March 2013 where he serves as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology, Vice Chancellor of Clinical Affairs and President/CEO for the Ochsner LSU Physician Group. He is an active Louisiana Representative in the American Society of Anesthesiologists House of Delegates and was the founder for the Perioperative Management Fellowship at the Tulane School of Medicine and the Tulane School of Public Health. He is a retired Major of the United States Army Medical Reserves. He has edited three anesthesiology textbooks and authored or coauthored over one hundred publications.
