Dr. Claude Lockhart, Sr., a Louisiana native, earned his Medical Doctorate from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport after being a Pharmacist for 12 years. Once Dr. Lockhart finished his residency at LSUHSC as chief resident, he started his private practice in Jennings, Louisiana for a few years then moved back to Shreveport. Dr. Lockhart came back to LSU Health in 2016 as Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is board certified in American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lockhart is an overall rounded physician who enjoys everything about Obstetrics and Gynecology from high-risk pregnancies to surgeries like vaginal hysterectomy to listening and taking care of his patient needs in the clinic. Outside of work, he loves to travel and go hiking. He will try any type of food and if he is not at a Saints football game, he is watching his favorite team on TV.
