Dr. Mellon is double board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with varied experiences at the University level as well as group and solo private practice with over 30 years of clinical and surgical experience.Dr. Mellon is a Louisiana native. She graduated Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana, followed by Otolaryngology residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School–Parkland Memorial Hospital and affiliated hospitals, Dallas, Texas, with emphasis on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, head and neck oncology, otology/skull base surgery, disorders and surgery (including endoscopic) of the paranasal sinuses, and general ENT training. Dr. Mellon served as Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology, University of Miami School of Medicine, Miami, Florida, followed by busy private practices in south Florida and Northwest Arkansas.
