Dr. Euil ("Marty") Luther is a graduate of LSU Health Shreveport School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed his residency in Family Medicine at E. A. Conway Medical Center (now Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, Monroe Medical Center). He has been on the Faculty of the Department of Family Medicine since August, 1994 and served as the program director for the Family Medicine residency for 14 years. He currently holds the rank of Associate Professor of Clinical Family Medicine and serves as the director of Family Medicine for Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport in Monroe, a division of the Department of Family Medicine LSU Health Shreveport.Dr. Luther admits that he joined the faculty not knowing a lot about teaching, but acknowledges that he had very good mentors along the way. One of the most rewarding things he finds in Graduate Medical Education is to observe a new intern physician join our residency and grow into a competent Family Physician."They are often nervous and hesitant on arrival, but anxious to please. It is delightful to watch them grow in knowledge and confidence along their journey to independent practice."
