Dr. Mina received his Medical Degree from Tanta University in Egypt, where he also did PhD in pathology. He then trained in medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology at LSU Health Shreveport, Louisiana. After working as interventional cardiology faculty for two years at LSU, he pursued advanced structural heart disease fellowship training at the University of Massachusetts. He then returned to LSU Health and joined as clinical faculty. His areas of interest include acute coronary syndrome, complex and high risk percutaneous coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and other structural heart interventions as well as peripheral arterial disease interventions. His main goal is to practice evidence-based medicine and to provide high quality care to his patients. In addition, he enjoys teaching medical students and residents at LSU and is also interested in clinical research. On the personal level, Dr. Mina enjoys traveling and spending quality time with his family.Dr. Mina's areas of specialty include cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and structural heart disease.
