Patrick Massey, MD

Dr. Massey completed residency at LSU Health Shreveport where he was trained in a high level of care for polytrauma patients. After residency, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at Houston Methodist with exposure to 4 professional sports teams. Dr. Massey came back to Shreveport and cared for athletes at Centenary College and LSU-S and local area high schools. He also worked on the Pediatric Sports Medicine team at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children to care for complex congenital ankle, knee, hip and shoulder problems and injuries.

His current focus is caring for patients, cutting edge research and training future orthopedic surgeons. His areas of practice include cartilage repair and regeneration, meniscus repair and preservation, rotator cuff repair, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair and reconstruction, multi-ligamentous knee reconstruction, hip arthroscopy, shoulder arthroscopy, elbow arthroscopy, knee arthroscopy, and ankle arthroscopy.
