Dr. Yatavelli was born and raised in the historic city of Hyderabad, India. He graduated from Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal, a prestigious Medical College in Southern India. After graduation he moved to the Caribbean and worked as Medical Officer in the Emergency Department in Spanish Town Hospital, Jamaica. His interest in pursuing further post-graduate education brought him to the United States. He completed Residency training in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics and went on to complete Fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at LSU Health Shreveport. He then joined the faculty of the Endocrinology division at LSU Health Shreveport and assists in the training of medical students, residents, and fellows. He is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and The Endocrine Society.
