Uday Kumar Chalwadi, MD

Dr. Uday Kumar Chalwadi is Assistant Professor, Pediatric Pulmonology at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport. He provides care for children under 18 years of age with lung and breathing problems. He received his Medical Degree from the Karnataka institute of medical sciences in India. He went on to complete a residency in Pediatrics at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Pondicherry, India. He has over 15 years of experience in the field of Pediatrics having worked in different countries such as India, Malaysia, and Kuwait before coming to the United States in 2017. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at The Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS)/Arkansas Children’s Hospital at Little Rock, Arkansas. He has published multiple articles in peer reviewed journals and is also a reviewer for several peer reviewed journals. He has special interest in Pediatric Asthma, Cystic fibrosis, Bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and interstitial lung diseases
