Managing Your Healthcare Just Got Easier

MyChart offers you personalized and secure online access to help manage and receive information about your health. Send a message to your doctor, get online diagnosis and treatment, talk face-to-face over video, or arrange to follow up with a doctor in person and more, depending on the level of care you need.

With MyChart, you can:

  • Check your test results
  • Request refills on your prescription medications
  • Schedule your appointments, and view details of previous or upcoming appointments
  • Send a secure message to your provider
  • View your immunizations and medical records

Set Up Your MyChart Account

If you haven’t used MyChart before, you’ll need to sign up. You can enter your MyOchsner Activation Code if you have received an enrollment letter from us, or you can sign up for MyChart online if you haven’t received a letter or if you’ve never seen an Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport provider before.

Download the MyChart Mobile App

The MyChart mobile app lets you manage your healthcare from anywhere with your smartphone or tablet. Download the app from the Apple App Store for iPhones or the Google Play store for Android phones. Once you install and launch the MyChart Mobile app, choose Ochsner Health as your care provider to get started.

Scheduling an Appointment

As a MyChart user, you will have exclusive access to more appointment times through our online appointment scheduling system. Follow this process to easily set up your next appointment:

  • Open the MyChart app on your phone, or log into your MyChart account on your computer
  • Choose the “Schedule an Appointment” link under “Appointments”
  • Choose the reason for your visit, or choose a provider
  • Confirm your address and insurance information
  • Choose a location for your appointment
  • Enter the date and any preferences for your appointment
  • Choose an available appointment, and confirm your choice

ePre-Check and Mobile Check-in

Many of our locations let you skip the registration desk at your appointment. Log into your account on your computer or on the mobile app to complete your ePre-Check, and then click “I’m Here” in the app when you park.

If you haven’t completed your ePre-Check, you can still minimize your time in the waiting room with curbside check-in. Look for the number to call on the banners in the parking area, and let the receptionist know you’ve arrived. Our team members will call or text you when your provider is ready.

Online Visits Through MyChart

Your provider may be able to see you virtually in a visit through MyChart.

Within the MyChart app, you can select whether you want your virtual visit to be with a new provider or a provider you’ve seen before and answer questions about the purpose for your visit. Learn more about how to schedule your virtual visit.

Technical Requirements for MyChart Virtual Visits

You must have the following in order to set up a virtual visit through MyChart:

  • A smartphone or tablet with either the Apple iOS or Android operating system
  • A front-facing (“selfie”) camera
  • An active MyChart account
  • The MyChart app installed on your device with Ochsner Health selected as your provided
