Accessing EPIC

**Nursing Instructors’ Epic access is processed through Nursing Instructor Registration. If you are a nursing instructor needing Epic access for an upcoming rotation, please refer to Nursing Instructor Registration & Resources to register and join the queue for Epic access.

Steps for Student Epic Access

To troubleshoot any issues with accessing Epic, OLN, or My Password, please call the Ochsner LSU Health IS Service Desk at 318-626-4357
Please note that students may NOT use their preceptor’s login information.

Ensure that all required documentation is submitted to your program and that the program has uploaded all these materials to InPlace (students do NOT access InPlace directly). Please ensure that all paperwork is entered at least 2 weeks in advance of the rotation start date and that all students are attached to the correct rotation group(s).

1-3 weeks before the start of their rotation, when all student information has been entered and assigned to the correct group(s) in InPlace, student information will be submitted for provisioning. Each student will be assigned an Authority and Description Identifier (ADID). Ochsner’s IS Provisioning team will send an email to each student containing their ADID and instructions for their Epic access.

Log in to My Password Enrollment. You will need to change the temporary password to a unique password. Enroll in Ochsner’s self-service password reset application.

Students are required to complete an online learning module through the Ochsner Learning Network (OLN). You will login using your ADID and newly reset password. Click here for instructions for accessing OLN

Your EPIC access will be activated upon completion of the learning module. Please allow 1-3 business days after completion of the module for activation. Upon activation, the Epic icon should appear on the desktop of Ochsner network computers upon login. You will login using your ADID and the password that you created in Step 3.
