Bharat Sachdeva, MBBS

Dr. Sachdeva is the Chief of Nephrology, Professor in Medicine, and Director of Interventional Nephrology and Dialysis at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, Louisiana. He completed medical school at Glancy Medical College in Amritsar, India, and did his internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He finished his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at LSU-Shreveport. He has an exceptional interest in interventional nephrology and has made significant contributions to various publications. He has actively presented on peritoneal dialysis, hypertension, and vascular access topics at numerous regional, national, and international meetings. Dr. Sachdeva is board-certified in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, in advanced endovascular procedures In dialysis access by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology, and as a Hypertension Specialist by the American Society of Hypertension. He is a valuable member of the American Society of Nephrology committees, Renal Physician Associates, Network 13, with a proven track record of successfully mentoring young trainees. Furthermore, he holds the prestigious position of President-elect for the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology. During his residency, Dr. Sachdeva was elected as a member of ALPHA OMEGA ALPHA. He also received the Nephrology Young Investigator Forum Award at the Southern Society for Clinical Investigation in New Orleans and a distinguished service award from the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology.
