Ochsner LSU Health to Host no-cost Head and Neck Cancer Screening Event

SHREVEPORT, La. – Ochsner LSU Health is hosting a dedicated head and neck cancer screening event on Wednesday, April 22, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will take place at Ochsner LSU Health - Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, located at 1405 Kings Highway. This initiative reflects an ongoing commitment to proactive community health and the expert management of cancer care.

Attendees will have the opportunity to receive screenings from dedicated healthcare professionals. Catching cancer early remains a vital step in successfully treating head and neck cancers, and this event provides the opportunity for community members to get screened. Regular screenings can find issues before symptoms appear, giving patients the best chance for positive outcomes. Alongside the screenings, participants will receive valuable educational information to better understand risk factors, warning signs, and prevention strategies.

To ensure the event is accessible and welcoming for everyone, free parking is available for all attendees in either the valet or self-park areas of the facility. Guests will also receive special giveaways throughout the day. Community members are encouraged to take advantage of this comprehensive health event and learn more about protecting their long-term health.

For more information about the Head and Neck Cancer Screening Event or to learn more about the services offered at Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, call 318-675-6264 or visit ochsnerlsuhs.org/fwcc.
